While we ultimately cannot stop ISIS propaganda, we can limit its affect on the public. ISIS uses a lot of misinformation with its propaganda, the main point being its display of religion to the masses. It proudly displays its religion as honorable and shows the deaths of its members as honorable sacrifices. In terms of its land, it often stages events that depict happy citizens, such as an entry in their magazine where they had several ISIS members riding a merry-go-round and children playing on bouncy houses to contrast a desolate environment. This, however, is a stark contrast to the reality of scarce food, low morale, and many regretting their decision to join. In my opinion, we can stop this propaganda by keeping the audience informed of the whole truth as to avoid the inherent misdirection with their propaganda. We can also obviously continue to limit the places where they can be found (i.e., twitter, youtube, their own websites).
